Barb Barreth is not just a member of the Billings Mustangs Fan Club. In addition to selling 50/50 raffle tickets at every game, she leads the crowd in cheers throughout the game, complete with red and white pompoms.
The money from the ticket sales is split with the winner of the drawing, with the rest going to pay for supplies and picnics for the Mustangs players.
Named the "fan of the year" in 2004, Barreth has been going to Mustangs games since the beginning, and was a member of the "knothole gang."
She no longer drives, but friends give her rides to games.
"This is my second home," she said.
She is a popular fixture at games in her assortment of pin-covered hats, with many patriotic pins given to her by fans.
"They're all special to me," she said of the pins. "Because they were given to me out of friendship or love."
