Man with no legs cited for DUI

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20500197/

ABBOTSFORD, Wis. - Police in Wisconsin have cited a legless man and his friend on a drunken driving charge, saying the amputee was at the wheel while his friend worked the pedals.

It was the third and second such arrests for the men, respectively.

Police say the amputee was sitting in the driver's seat and told officers he had too much to drink. But he argued he wasn't really driving since the other man was on the brake and accelerator.

Both men also were cited for driving after their licenses had been revoked.

Police say a third man in the truck, who was also drunk, walked himself home after the traffic stop.

Didn't something like this happen a few years ago coming from a Bengal's game? That guy actually hit a pedestrian, IIRC.

Yeah, hit a freshman from Mason HS, Scott Asbrock. He was in marching band and a member of our church. It was all pretty rough. Nice kid...

Personally I thought it was hilarious that they thought it was okay to do that.

I wonder if the guy even had licenses? (Dont think it mentioned it)

I'm willing to bet this is the first time he's had a run-in with the law.

Were the police sure it wasn't Speed Racer?

Speed Racer Episode Guide: The Most Dangerous Race

Features the Car Acrobatic Team. At one point, a terrible storm washes out the road; the drivers draw lots to see who gets to cross the chasm first. The drivers have to jump their cars across several washed out portions of the road. Each time, part of the road crumbles, making the jumps more hazardous. Speed ends up crashing and gets blinded. Later Racer X pretends that he could not use his legs and in tandem they drove the Mach Five.
