I liked Ankiel better when he couldn't find home plate.

Nope, but who do you bring in? This isn't a 4 inning bullpen by any means...Stanton?

Any player who can overcome that emotionally my hat's off to him.

    Season over.

Don't worry, he'll come back to earth soon. He was a .270ish hitter in the minors with zero plate discipline.

Part of the problem there.....that was already the 3rd time tonight that Eddie had warmed up...

With a shaky arm anyway, that's pretty stupid to do.

can't use the same three every night. Five lefties and three that can't be trusted and one righty that mimics a can of gasoline. Pete's options are limited if the starter can't get through 6.

Yeah, we know the formula...Mixed bag 7th, Burton 8th, Weathers 9th.

If we can't get through 6, we are done for...

If Pujols or someone is coming up, I can understand (maybe) looking for a righty. But Coutlangous can pitch to Tagouchi and Eck..what are they going to do...hit singles?

if that is a problem he has ZERO business being on the roster. WK has stuck the pen with bad lefties and so few righties he has to use D'Artangnan in tough situations.

I'm more bothered that Eddie was warmed up 3 times tonight before being used than the fact he was actually used...

I don't think warming up somebody 3 times is a recipe for success...Brantley even pointed that out...that's pushing it. He was a reliever....He said if you're going to warm up a 3rd time, either use him or sit him because it'll wear him out more...well, they used him.

It may not have mattered, but a fresher Eddie MAY have been more effective.

Easier for him to pitch with no pressure on him.
