I liked Ankiel better when he couldn't find home plate.

Any player who can overcome that emotionally my hat's off to him.
Season over.
Rob Neyer: "Any writer who says he'd be a better manager than the worst manager is either 1) lying (i.e. 'using poetic license') or 2) patently delusional. Which isn't to say managers don't do stupid things that you or I wouldn't."
Part of the problem there.....that was already the 3rd time tonight that Eddie had warmed up...
With a shaky arm anyway, that's pretty stupid to do.
eddie gets pujols and edmonds, but can't get ankiel when it matters..sweet

I'm more bothered that Eddie was warmed up 3 times tonight before being used than the fact he was actually used...
I don't think warming up somebody 3 times is a recipe for success...Brantley even pointed that out...that's pushing it. He was a reliever....He said if you're going to warm up a 3rd time, either use him or sit him because it'll wear him out more...well, they used him.
It may not have mattered, but a fresher Eddie MAY have been more effective.
Keppinger Rakes!
