    I don't get the pitcher 8th, somebody else 9th thing....

    Odd.

    Of course, I would have probably been for it if Lohse were here, and Castro or Ellison in the lineup

    I will give th Cards one thing, they have incredible plate discipline, you rarely see them strike out swinging on pitches out of the zone.

    In theory, it could work if you have a high obp guy hitting 7th, so the pitcher can move him over for the 9th hitter and top of the order.
