SHearn gets a nice play from EE to end the inning.

    After 4, Reds 4, Cards 3.

    Shearn at 81 pitches already.

If Shearn can make it through 5, I will be happy. If he keeps the Cards to under 4 runs, I will be ecstatic.

Did I just hear the pitter patter of tear drops falling from George Grande's face?

That's now three balls this week Griffey has hit off the very top of the wall. He is about a combined two feet from having 595 career homers instead of 592.

I am pretty sure it was Clay Carroll. Didn't look, but have studied the Baseball Encyclopedia too many times!

What is BPhil swinging at? Those pitches are at his ankles.
