I re-watched his start against the Cards, very impressive first inning. He gave up a run, but that was mostly bad luck. Threw a 94-97mph fastball consistantly and looked electric. But he lost it after that inning and his raw secondary stuff go exposed. Last year, it seemed he was holding onto that top speed longer before tiring.
I hope to see him back too. I don't know if we will though. The bickering about Bailey not having the mid to high nineties fastball was crap. When he pitched against Cleveland he was throwing 95 to 96 and 97 when he needed it. Granted its not 98 to 99 consistantly like we wanted but who cares?
If you can't build a winning team with that core a fire-sale isn't the solution. Selling the franchise, moving them to Nashville and converting GABP into a used car lot is.

I think Maloney will be taking Phil Dumatrait's spot in the rotation next time around.

Francisco and Frazier are beasts. I love this clubs future.

Probably mad that a singles hitter was named to the PL AS team over him, so he is changing his game tonight.

Yeah. I guess. That was horrible he didn't make it. He has been awesome this year.

I just dont understand why bruce has sat 2 games in a row. Hopefully he is just sick because there could be no other good reason. I dont remember seeing an injury but who knows.

Juan Francisco is 3-for-3 with a double, single, walk, and his 25th HR.

Todd Frazier is 2-for-3 with 2 HR, 4 RBI, and a walk.

No problem. I love doing updates on the minor leagues, unfortunately the regular season ends tomorrow.

Billings actually has five regular season games remaining after looking it up. The Pioneer League HR record is 23. Brandon Waring has 20 with five game left. Can he break the record?

Outside of Bruce and Votto, I thought our farm system looked pretty bleak. As much as I dislike their handling of things at the major league level, I really have to give kudos to the current and previos GMs (and their Minor league/player development personnel).

The turnaround has been pretty dramatic.

Nice to see Juan take a BB. And Frazier is looking like a very solid guy right now.

Normally I would say no but I think he can and will.

Cannot wait to see him and Frazier next year in Dayton assuming Todd stays there if for nothing else a short time frame to get his legs under him to start the season.
