Ramon Ramirez has thrived since being moved to the bullpen. He's yet to allow a run in 13 innings with Louisville while striking out 14.

Hopefully Dickerson gets called up tonight along with Votto.

There's really no reason not to call them up.

Thank god he's on our side. He's awesome. Go Reds!!!
If you can't build a winning team with that core a fire-sale isn't the solution. Selling the franchise, moving them to Nashville and converting GABP into a used car lot is.

I would imagine Cueto starts next year in Louisville, but will he be invited to spring training?

He doesn't get mentioned much in these discussions, but I'd imagine Buck Coats gets called up. It would be odd to acquire him this late in the season and then not see what he has.

Bet he's got more than Jason Ellison (most do).

Going to be difficult for guys like Dickerson and Coats (both lefties) to see playing time in the outfield.

I think it will be easier to get a guy like Votto playing time because Hatteberg isn't the super-star type players like Griffey and Dunn are.

I think Dickerson might get the call. EZ will get the call. I think Coats will be up too.

Re: Monday September 3rd minor league updates

I was at the Lookouts game today. Cueto looked awesome. He really shouldn't have given up any runs because one hit that loaded the bases should have been an easy catch for the right fielder. The sac fly that scored 2 was really odd. The bases were loaded and the ball was hit really hard to CF. The CF ran and kind of half dove for it and hit the ground. He got up like he had missed it and really spent a couple of seconds not reacting to the play. Two runs scored but I for the life of me don't know what he was doing. He seriously acted like he missed the ball. Anyway Cueto looked like he was toying with the hitters most of the game. He dominated. I saw several pitches hit 96. 92-96 was were he stayed at. Saw some offspead stuff but very very rarely. One batter kept fouling off fastballs and my wife even said if he threw him a change it would be over. Well he never threw a change...just fastball after fastball. Might try to post some pics later. Any questions?

I remember one time going out to the mound to talk with Bob Gibson. He told me to get back behind the batter, that the only thing I knew about pitching was that it was hard to hit.

Drew Stubbs is 2-3 with a double and a triple. Dragons getting killed though 8-2 after 6.

Todd Frazier is 1-3 with a double.

Where do you think Stubbs will start next year? He can't spend another year at A ball right?

He probably starts in Sarasota and if he performs he gets a promotion mid season to Chattanooga.

Brandon Waring just drove in two runs for the Dragons, when did he get there?
