Ward looked like a statue while the strike was right down the middle.

    Harang beats Z, once again.

George just said the Reds filed the protest. Jeff says they should, or they shouldn't have protested at all if they didn't plan to follow it through. Thing is, PM didn't have the rule right. He's got to know the Reds won't win the protest, so why waste $25,000? Oops, wait! I think I just heard Butcher on the PA in the background say there would be no filing fee.

Marty's got one big nerve ragging on Phillips. I truly believe he thinks everyone of these players is a robot and will not accept less than perfect from them.

    Good win Reds! Wahoo!

    REDS beat Cubs 5-2.

    Harang goes to 16-4.

9-1 Brewers in the 9th. The Brewers will move into first place in the loss column ahead of the Cubs.

Now the Cubs announcers are saying that there is no fee for persueing the protest.

I didn't think I'd ever heard of a fee before and apparently that's correct.

I still doubt if the protest holds water though.

Believe me, Marty wants nothing more than to see the Reds ruin the Cubs season...

He feels the same away about them as we do....

I truly think Thom has improved this year with the Reds. I wasn't impressed during the first several months of the season, but I think he's gotten progressively better. And I really like that he's not his Dad's yes man (for the most part). He's probably the only one who can get away with it.

PS -- I just love Edwin. What a sweet humble guy.

It's just that he isn't an objective announcer anymore.

Is this what we're going to worry about after driving another thorn into the sides of the loveable Cubbies? If Marty had a good game or not...which is all opinion anyway?

    Come on...

He was probably as nervous about Weathers as we were...making him get extra outs doesn't help

I like Edwin too. And, I agree that he's a humble guy. Which, IMO, leads some people to think that he has no fire but I think that that is a bad read and not true.

You come on....This isn't about one game with the Cubs. Marty hasn't been objective for years! But, then again, you're probably too young to ever have heard Marty be objective.
