    Nice.

Two of these guys -- Ondrusek and Griffin -- have been sleeper picks of mine lately. Good to see the Reds taking advantage of the opportunity -- and not at all a bad place to put in overtime...

    Hardship assignment....

I wonder if they could persuade Milton Loo to play? Maybe rekindle the fires...

What was the situation with Loo anyway? Family issues?

What a crappy life. Have to go to Hawaii for the fall/winter and play baseball every night.

    Maybe Milton Loo can play...
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

I think last season they were showing these games on Channel 25 or Channel 38 here in Cincinnati; I can't remember which. I think the Japanese leagues send players as well.

Watched quite a few of these games last year and thoroughly enjoyed them. When does it start up again? I also must add that it was a real treat to see a few of the young Japanese players whom played in this league.

Valaika should be worth paying attention to considering the nose dive he took at Sarasota.

I had never heard of the Hawaiian League.

It will probably get more attention/better players since the Puerto Rican League has been forced to cancel its season (and may fold) and Venezuela is becoming much more difficult for american players (for a number of reasons).

Joba Chamberlain was the big breakout star from the Hawaiian League last year. Think of it as the low minors version of the AFL. Pretty sure it is only in its 2nd or 3rd year of existence.

Was really great ball to watch in an otherwise dead time for Baseball. Games I viewed were late nights and that was perfect for me
