Could we have a moment of silence please? Marcel Marceau passes away.

I see in this morning's NY Times that the world renowned mime, Marcel Marceau died yesterday at the age of 84. Many will recall he had the only speaking part in Mel Brooks' film The Silent Movie.

"Mime, like music, knows neither borders nor nationalities," he once said. "If laughter and tears are the characteristics of humanity, all cultures are steeped in our discipline."
I liked this excerpt from the obit. Comedy and pathos.

Dude was still alive? I would have assumed some mime-hating grump punched his lights out years ago.
". . . acquiring J. Blanton from Oakland for, apparently, Bailey/Cueto, Votto and a lesser prospect. I do it in a second . . . The Reds' equation this year is simple: Make Matt Belisle your #3 starter . . . trade for Blanton, win 85 or more, be in the mix all summer." - Paul Daugherty, Feb. 8, 2008

Anyone know where Shakes and Binky were when this went down?

I hear the flowers at his funeral will be mums.
