I see in this morning's NY Times that the world renowned mime, Marcel Marceau died yesterday at the age of 84. Many will recall he had the only speaking part in Mel Brooks' film The Silent Movie.

I liked this excerpt from the obit. Comedy and pathos."Mime, like music, knows neither borders nor nationalities," he once said. "If laughter and tears are the characteristics of humanity, all cultures are steeped in our discipline."
Dude was still alive? I would have assumed some mime-hating grump punched his lights out years ago.
