It's not on youtube yet. i missed the show. You have to be a paid member of the Jim Rome show to access the radio interview.
They had a segment on the local news tonight and Rome ask him who the best team is, and Brooks said LSU. He said they could be the best team he hass ever seen in all his years of coaching.

Brooks said UK could be at the level of USC by the end "of this year." Also, said that 4 teams in the SEC are currently on USC's level.

    Uh...wow.

I thought I heard that he hedged a bit on this statement to say that 4 teams are on USC's level defensively. I can understand SEC favoritism but if he really said the quote above thats a bit rediculous. Regardless of conference, USC has a great team this year. I wouldn't put anyone except LSU and maybe Florida on their level. Kentucky's good but the only way they'll be at the level of USC is if they manage to run the table or finish with only one loss.

In the midst of an outstanding season, I'm sorry Brooks had to endure being on Rome.

A lot of misinformation going on here!! He said HISTORICALLY 4 teams in the SEC are on USC's caliber: Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, and LSU. He said that RIGHT NOW only Florida and LSU could be considered on USC's caliber.

He never said that UK COULD be on USC's level by the end of the year, he said that that is something they want to continue to work towards.

Misinformation and Kentucky seem to go hand-in-hand, don't they?
