First time since 2003 that 5 top-five rated schools have lost on the same day.
Gators get beat at home! HUGE for the Cats.
Outside of the top-10, there were a BUNCH of other upsets as well.
Crazy, crazy day in college football.

Crazy, crazy day in college football.
In one weekend the number 3, 4, 5, 7 and 10 teams all lose.
Where do you think those teams that lost will fall to in the polls?
Hard to say because so many teams lost. Outside the 5 I mentioned the number 11 and 13 teams also lost.
The top 5 will be probably be USC, LSU, California, Ohio State and Wisconsin but past that it is hard to figure.
Twas a great day for college football. Here's how I see the new rankings:
1) USC
2) LSU
3) California
4) Ohio State
5) Wisconsin
6) Oklahoma
7) Florida
8) West Virginia
9) Boston College
10) Kentucky
I'm being optimistic for a UK top ten ranking, fellas... but I wouldn't be shocked if they leapfrogged South Florida all the way to ten ahead of UK, and UK 11.
I'd like to also note, for the record, that THE Tulane University of Louisiana managed to cover the spread today and actually had LSU down 9-7 with under 2 minutes to go in the first half.
Moral victories, baby!

I would move Oregon higher in to the top 10. They lost to the new number 3 team by a heartbreaker when the Oregon player fumbled the football forward to the endzone for a touchback.

I have no clue why LSU would be higher than USC. My feeling has always been that the number one team at the start of the year must lose a game to lose their number one ranking.
-LTlabnerIf you can't build a winning team with that core a fire-sale isn't the solution. Selling the franchise, moving them to Nashville and converting GABP into a used car lot is.
But what if you thought USC would be the better team, but after watching them for a few weeks, your'e convinced LSU iss better? Afterall, pre-season rankings are merely specualtion without a single down of football being played.
If they're truly "rankings" it should be based on who the better team is, not necessarily who has the better record.

What fool gave Ohio State a number one vote? Ohio State fans are starting to get excited but come on. Purdue will be a challenge this week on the road at night. I love the Buckeyes but they are still a very flawed team. They have offensive issues, and those deficiencies are being covered up by the fact that they have outclassed all their opponents athletically. Purdue seems like they can execute their own offense so they could challenge Ohio State. I still think Ohio State wins but I am wary, I still dread that trip to Happy Valley.
I have also heard several radio people say that everyone in the BigTen should watch out for Michigan. Michigan beat Notre Dame (horrible), Penn State (poorly coached), and Northwestern (implosion). They still look slow, and if Northwestern had not gift wrapped the fourth quarter Lloyd Carr would be off the back burner and on the incinerator.
