They have a chat this PM, so if you're interested in other Sarasota Reds, or want to know more about Bruce or Cueto, that's the place to ask -- you can submit questions at the BA site now.

BA and the other publications tend to list certain prospects for multiple leagues. So Bruce, for example, is on both the Florida State League and International League lists.

I would prefer if they simply listed such prospects at the highest level for which they qualified. That would enable more prospects to be listed overall.

I don't know that we need to know that Jay Bruce was the best guy in a HighA league, if he is already the best guy in a AAA league.

    Very good idea.

The benefit of doing it the way they do is it allows you to see some of these promoted top prospects vs each other. If Bruce and Maybin were only listed in the higher leagues to which they were promoted, we wouldn't see who they considered to be the better prospect.

Still, you make a good point -- they'll just have to go to a top 25.

In the BA chat, Cooper said that he really wanted to get Roenicke on the list, if he would have added another reliever to the list.

Cooper also says that Roenicke is very likely going to be in the Reds Top Ten next month and he put him in the next tier group 21-25 which included Will Inman and Greg Golson. He was very high on Roenicke's stuff. Also said that Jose Castro was the sleeper in the league and was very excited about Johnny Cueto, very interesting read for a Reds fan.

I love Roenkickie's potential. I hope to see some of him next year. As for Castro, we got a steal in the Conine trade. Even if the two guys we got don't work out, we tried. I love moves like that, when you have nothing to lose, but a lot to gain.
If you can't build a winning team with that core a fire-sale isn't the solution. Selling the franchise, moving them to Nashville and converting GABP into a used car lot is.
