    35 years ago (1972), a 7-1 win in Game 4 of the NLCS at Riverfront Stadium vs. the Pirates.

    Ross Grimsley pitched a complete-game two-hitter to lead the Reds, who evened the best-of-five series at 2-2. The only hits for the Pirates were a homer and an infield single by Roberto Clemente.

    Really clutch pitching by Grimsley. Saved the Reds bullpen for game five.
    Looking at that Reds lineup, that bottom part of the order just shouldn't scare too many pitchers. A pitcher just wouldn't shudder with fear seeing Menke,Gernimo and Chaney at the bottom of the order.
