I'm convinced by the counter-arguments. Perhaps Wolf is too big a risk unless we can get him for a reasonable (i.e., less than 3 million a year) contract... and that just isn't going to happen in today's market, I fear.

So... I guess my next question is this: are there any other starters on the market who the Reds should be pursuing, or should their focus now just be on trading for starters / revamping the bullpen and hoping Homer / Johnny develop quickly?
