Isn't the club still up for sale? Maybe 2 years of belt-tightening to make the bottom line look good was all that Schuerholz could take? Or maybe he had an inkling that the next owner wouldn't be one that he wanted to work for?

He's no longer a spring chicken nearing 70...but John Schuerholz...man, it would be nice to have him in the organization...

He was good. He made me first cheer the underdog Braves, then dislike the front running Braves. Takes skill to do both things.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Cincinnati Bengals - None
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98
