Its been said often...if they want to get rid of Carr...either he will just step down on his own or it will be called a "resignation"...this is just what the talking heads have said mind you. I depise Michigan but I do agree...Lloyd Carr has done enough for the program to not have his tenure end as a "firing".
They played a lot of very close, very conservative games, which led people to believe the team wasn't as good as it was. Despite the fact that Craig Krenzel later drew some NFL paychecks, in retrospect, I think he was the limiting factor on that team. The rest of that team was excellent across the board -- running game, defense, special teams. The only thing missing was the passing game, and they had the receivers to torch teams for focusing on Clarett. They just didn't do it.
