Pretend... 2006 Buckeyes play 2007 Buckeyes in football. Who wins and why?

I think this year's team is good enough to beat last year's regular season #1 team. The defense is that good. This year's offense is not on the same level as the 2006 team of course, but the upgrade on defense is greater than the loss of offense IMO. Sure, sure... the schedule will be mentioned. But I'll take that defense against any offense in the county and bet money on the Bucks D outperforming the best O around.

Last year I recall the praises of our studly defense, while playing a much tougher OC schedule. I think our D is exeptional, but I think 2006 was better by a smidgen. The offense is a no-brainer. An abysmal plan and horrendus execution for the NC will marr the 2006 team for eternity, but they were a better team IMO.
