    To be honest, this was probably an Oakland Raider like situation. He was probably the first guy to accept. None the less, he doesn't seem like a bad manager.
    If you can't build a winning team with that core a fire-sale isn't the solution. Selling the franchise, moving them to Nashville and converting GABP into a used car lot is.

    He worked quite a bit in the Yankees minor league system. I think he will help a young team like the Royals.
