world series on a saturday at midnight?

It's 12:04 am Sunday morning and the game is just now going to the 8th...I remember coming home in the 70's to watch playoff or world series games as soon as i got home from school... how are the kids of today supposed to care about baseball...how does mlb expect to generate fans or future players when they cant show the games at a normal time when everyone can watch it??

    Yes. Unfortunately.

Boston is just way, way, WAY too talented for them to have a shot.

allowing the hitters to step out for 30-40 seconds after every pitch is another reason the games last an eternity.

That and these eternally long commercial breaks.
If you can't build a winning team with that core a fire-sale isn't the solution. Selling the franchise, moving them to Nashville and converting GABP into a used car lot is.

That's what we thought last year, and look what happened.

As far as the games starting late, another thing to go with that are the prices for a World Series game...you can't afford to take your kids at all. They were discussing this the other day on the radio. I just hope someday when we say "America's Past Time" we aren't referring to soccer.

Yeah, what ever happened to playing World Series games in the afternoon? Don't worry, soccer will never be America's pastime. Football may though.

Baseball is no longer a sport of the people, but the elite...
"On-base percentage is great if you can score runs and do something with that on-base percentage," Baker said. "Clogging up the bases isn't that great to me."

I didn't watch more than the first 2 innings of any of the games.
