I don't think Red Sox fans want him. And I don't think Epstein is going to fork out that money for A-Rod.

If A-Rod goes to the Red Sox, he might as well hammer in the coffin nail himself. He'll have proved every personal attack and motive questioning thrown on him to have merit, even if it's only on the surface. The media scrutiny and fan hecking will go so far off the charts that it will end up in the twilight zone. He will be a truly stupid man.

The only other team I can really see him with right now is the Angels. I am surprised by this, I must say. I hate Scott Boras.

Hopefully he goes to Boston and they win every World Series for the next five years. Totally blow up the game.

I'm still just praying that the Mitchell report comes out with the truth on the steroid problem on certain teams in baseball. I'm not convinced though that Selig or his cronies will step in and make a back room deal to hide Ortiz like they did in 2004. Imagine if everyone finally found a brain and realized the guy was on steroids along with Manny? Imagine how that amazing playoff run would look? Would that crash the sport to the ground?

I hope the report comes out and Mitchell doesn't hide his Red Sox players also. Sounds like he won't be doing that and for that I'm somewhat excited. I'm not confident though. I'm never confident with the morons leading MLB.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

If I was Henry, I'd go after ARod just to torture the Yankees. Finally payback for Ruth.

    Then get the Rocket.

The Bengals game and another World Series like this.

How can you not be? Only Ohio State has kept my sports heart beating.

Hire Torre as bench coach and then get Don Zimmer in the fold.

I know this is VERY unscientific, but in the two playoff games I went to at Fenway I asked a few people about A-Rod and the reply was always that there was no way in hell they EVER want to see A-Rod wearing a Red Sox uniform.

If he hit 54 and 154 wearing a Boston cap, they would change their mind.

Well that's just dumb. The Red Sox as they stand right now, plus A-Rod, would be pretty much unstoppable. They'd hit one hundred million home runs on top of their pitching and A-Rod at third would preserve what little exists of Manny's goo arm. But as I said, I don't see it happening for many reasons not related to what happens on the field.

With the impending sale, I really doubt the Cubs will have the available resources to fork over the kind of dough A-Rod will command. They already have $100m tied up next season.

That would change when he starts putting up 50 HR every year and even his poor contact ends up peppering that wall in LF.

What are they going to do, become Yankees fans? GAC can drive up to BOS and load them up on the CLE bandwagon.

What the Reds lack in money, name value, the lifestyle of the town, and recent history they make up for by giving ARod a chance to break every offensive record of note by August 12th, 2008.

Get it done Wayne. 5 years, $10 million dollars.
