According to Coach, Jared is still in his plans at UK...

He has described Carter as "dominant" during practice... he hasn't really been healthy at all since high school... shoulder injuries have kept him from getting any stronger... perhaps by next season he'll be ready to contribute? Coach seems to think so. I'll just hafta take his word for it.

I think Mike Williams is the likeliest scholarship player to transfer.

Wonder if his probation would prevent him from traveling out of state, to say... basketball games... like a normal probationer's would.
Heh. Good thing this case is being tried in Kentucky and not Indiana or Tennessee.

I'd say that's a given. At worst, he should have been redshirted this year to save his eligibility.

I really don't see Carter fitting in there.

Honestly I don't either, but Coach sees him in practice every day so I guess he should know?

Gillispie doesn't do much "shooting sunshine up people's butts" ... I don't think he would say what he says about Carter if he didn't genuinely mean it... I wouldn't be surprised to see Carter transfer, I think the scholly could be put to better use... but who knows?

But, as you pointed out earlier, he's played Coury all year because he's a good practice player... yet Carter wastes away on the bench.

Excellent point. Maybe Carter knows he's leaving and is being a good soldier so Gillispie is returning the favor...

I wasn't really talking about the prospect, just the constant IU, Vandy, random school, etc. (trash) talk & nonsense makes it hard to read actual UK news. I guess I am the only one annoyed though, so I will keep putting up with it or stop visiting the thread lol

We could probably take that talk to a different thread if it's really that bothersome. I certainly don't want to keep UK fans out of the UK thread, if my posting is doing so.
