    Cueto Scouting Report

    http://www.moundtalk.com/prospects/j...outing-report/

I found the site today, but it looks pretty good.

I would like to make this the Cueto Thead, but about scouting reports. Is there a compilation of reports over the past few years? Know of one, pass it here. If we have enough, we can learn about when he started changes is pitches, or when they got better. And what affect it has on the stats. If we could kind of like put scouting reports and stats together, it can make this a very good spot to come to get a better idea about the pitcher.

If we did this with the top 20 guys from this sites polling, I think it would be very useful for those who don't know much about the prospects. It's just an idea

Cueto has a great arm action, excellent movement, and very good command on his fastball (89-94 mph) and slider. This kid is only 21 and does not need to be rushed through the system. Often is forgotten about and over-shadowed due to Homer Bailey’s presence, but the Reds organization knows what they have in him and know he will be something special.

The 200 innings thing kinda scares me.

Not every pitcher can be a horse. I'd take 30 GS, 180 IP, 3.50 ERA, 175 K, 40 BB. You?
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Considering what we have now I would love to have those numbers as my 3/4 pitcher.
If you can't build a winning team with that core a fire-sale isn't the solution. Selling the franchise, moving them to Nashville and converting GABP into a used car lot is.

One thing I think you see good teams do is focus on maximizing the good things that players can do, rather than dwell on their weaknesses. San Diego is a very good example of doing this.
