I just hate Francisco's BB/K ratio. God awful. He doesn't play defense well, right?

38 votes in, and we're looking at another dead heat.

    Awesome.

I've been voting Fisher, I like his fastball and sinker a lot, I like how he's progressed the last couple years, and I think he should be a real workhorse-type with his frame and style. Not to say I don't like the other two as prospects, but Watson's FSL performance concerned me for a guy I hoped would be more polished, especially in a pitcher's league. Now he didn't exactly dazzle in the MWL first go-around either, but hopefully he can continue to take a step forward without two steps back. Francisco certainly has age on his side, but as some others have intimated, I am concerned by what appears to be a complete and unequivocal lack of plate discipline. Defense doesn't concern me as much as some others, I think he'll wind up in LF anyway. Possibly 1B.

Time to name 13a, 13b, and 13c and move on to the vote for #16.

FWIW Sickles has Watson at #20 and the other two not rated.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

That'd be awesome if they were honestly the 20 somethings of our prospects...deeeeep system if that is really the case.

Man, I can't vote for Waring again.
If you can't build a winning team with that core a fire-sale isn't the solution. Selling the franchise, moving them to Nashville and converting GABP into a used car lot is.

Unless someone pulls away, is it a tie for 13-15th place?

It's not like the hitters in the FSL are significantly better than in the MWL. If you're worried about Watson's Sarasota performance, keep in mind that A.) he did much worse in Dayton last year and rebounded to be Dayton's best pitcher the next year, and B.) his peripherals were still solid in Sarasota--it was probably just a case of small sample size.

Kind of. He is very error prone at this point, but he has a cannon of an arm and is quite athletic and can make some great plays on the corner, he is just quite inconsistant over there right now. Still, how many 20 year olds are not struggling at third base defensively?

Does he remind you of Edwin at 3rd? That sort of explains Edwin, makes errors but makes some very very nice plays. Most of his errors were also throwing, what about Francisco?

I was wondering why so many are voting for Francisco over Waring?
    Thanks
