    Volquez Article

I don't know if this has been posted anywhere, but it's a pretty nice breakdown of Edinson's "stuff." I was impressed with the velocity on the fastball. As advertised.

    Re: Volquez Article

The biggest thing from those articles is that he added the sinking fastball. It didn't show up in his GB rates from the limited data, but it's still a good sign. If we can use that 2 seam, and 4 seam fastball, along with his change and curve, that's a decent repertoire.
Also another major thing is the release point of his change. In fact that may be the biggest thing he needs to work on. I noticed it before but didn't really think much of it. However this changeup release is over an inch lower than his fastball. Big league hitters will notice it right away.
