    Dodgers sign Shackelford

    The Dodgers have signed 11 players to minor league deals with invitations to Spring Training: RHP Tanyon Sturtze, RHP Mike Koplove, RHP Brian Falkenborg, RHP Rick Asadoorian, RHP Fernando Desgue, RHP Greg Jones, LHP Brian Shackelford, OF John-Ford Griffin, 1B John Lindsey, IF Angel Chavez and C Danny Ardoin. The addition of Sturtze, coupled with the presence of Scott Proctor, gives Joe Torre two of his favorite abuse cases over the past few years.

    He didn't get any playing time with the Reds. How in the world is he going to in LA? I don't see him making it.
    If you can't build a winning team with that core a fire-sale isn't the solution. Selling the franchise, moving them to Nashville and converting GABP into a used car lot is.

    A marginal player at best. Brian would still fit in with some of our current relievers, however.

    Yeah, Bowden must have been asleep. Leatherpants knows that former Reds are golden!

    no great loss of shackleford. Yes narron missused him but u gotta get a right out here and there. You can find lefties anywhere losing one isn't gonna kill you we still have cout and bray.

    Shackelford is a perfect LOOGY. Nothing more, although good LOOGY's have their value.
