    Mike Lamb and the Twins

    http://www.cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/story/10530037

Mike Lamb and the Minnesota Twins have agreed to a contract. The Third Baseman agreed to a $6.6 Million, two year contract with an option for an additional year in 2010. He will battle with Nick Punto at third.

Personally, I am not sure Lamb is worth that much, it will just drive the market up. Can't imagine what Edwin will want when he is negotiating!

Lamb threw up a .289/.366/.453 line last year

Another value signing for the Twins. Their third basemen last year were horrible.
If you can't build a winning team with that core a fire-sale isn't the solution. Selling the franchise, moving them to Nashville and converting GABP into a used car lot is.

Mike Lamb can flat-out hit. It's a shame he can't play any defensive position competently.

Trade Edwin to the Orioles for Bedard. Of course some other names switch teams as well...

    Thanks
