He was, of course, number one in all of our hearts.

I believe the Hall will make an announcement that they will have a special election in the next couple of weeks. Why delay the inevitable?

I wouldn't take this to mean too much. Jay-Z supposedly retired, and many consider him to be a thug, too.

You never retire from 'the game.'

Re: Tim "Thug Life" Hummel has retired

In honor of Tim Hummel being retired, the Reds should play with only 24 men on the 25 man roster in 2008.

    Add to the legend...

When Tim Hummel had more than 1 RBI in a MLB game, his team always won.

    (1) Aug. 29, 2003 (2 RBI)
    >> REDS win 8-5 over Cards.
    (2) Sept. 1, 2003 (2 RBI)
    >> REDS win 5-4 over Brewers.
    (3) May 11, 2004 (2 RBI)
    >> REDS win 6-3 over Padres.
Small market fan... always hoping, but never expecting.

I wonder if Tim Hummel knows about his legendary status here on RedsZone.

He's the one ballplayer who should have had a figurine.
