SECOND PLACE DOESN'T CONCERN ME
I read the post. It was wild speculation from a first-time poster on a Cardinals message board.
I wanted Rolen back before he was traded to STL but not now.
He is older and with injury problems plus EE can I believe turn into an excellent run producer though I doubt he will ever match Rolen defensively.
Rolen has been a pain in the neck of ever manager he has played for. After a short honeymoon he can't get along with anyone. No, Thanks
EE had a very nice second half of the season. He's not a rookie anymore. No reason it's not all up from here.
Just be patient.
Rolen's won a WS though so that must mean he is better than ever other 3B that hasn't won a WS...

(8) Then, I realized the only way any of this farcical thought exercise made any sense is if St. Louis was willing to do Rolen for Hatteberg, straight up (I'd be too embarassed to even ask for cash to go with Rolen), which St. Louis would never do.
(9) I then cursed the cosmos for making me waste upwards of 90 valuable seconds pondering the bullplop spewed forth by a clueless St. Louis Cardinals' far.
(10) Then I wasted 3 minutes typing this up, and felt even stupider for contributing to the bullplop.
Oh well...
