"We've had some good drafts that have been hugely impacted by injuries," Brown said. "We've had more than our share and they've been devastating. Not for one year or half a season, but longer. Maybe even career-ending. It's hard to explain why that has been so, but it has been."
Excuses....just like everything else with him and that team. Always an excuse.

Perry, Pollack and Irons (whom they drafted because of Perry's injury) wouldn't have made them a playoff team.

    Sorry Mike try again.

Pollack was bad luck, but they've had plenty of time to account for that. Perry and Irons were dumb picks anyway, wasted on RBs when the Bengals have a much greater need to fix the units that play on the line of scrimmage.
Wear gaudy colors, or avoid display. Lay a million eggs or give birth to one. The fittest shall survive, yet the unfit may live. Be like your ancestors or be different. We must repeat!

That's exactly what I was thinking after reading the article. Seems to me that the article emphizes the Bengals mediocrity over Lewis' tenure (which it exactly has been). The difference is that it looks like Brown relishes in it, while we the fans realize mediocrity isn't going to net you any championships anytime soon.

Was anybody else just depressed after reading the article. It feels like the '90's all over again. Brown's happy with the status quo of .500 finishes, and nothing's going to change until he's out of the office.

I despise Mike Brown as well. It's amazing how one man can stifle the happiness of millions. I love the Bengals and always will. I sometimes wish I could stop rooting for them, but I can't. Just like the Reds, it's in my blood. There's no way I can stop rooting for them. I just wish they didn't have an evil owner.
I don't know how old he is but it seems as if he doesn't age..I wonder if he is actually Borg Mike Brown and was assimilated eons ago and was sent on a mission to disenfranchise thousands of Bengal fans in the Tri-State Nebula...

    Is his daughter any different?

Can we expect things to get better when Mikey goes to the big Owners box in the sky?
