Any infromation on when OD tickets go on sale? Will other regular season games go on sale the same day?

    Thanks

It hasn't been announced yet. Usually the single-game tickets go on sale in early February, but that was when John Allen was in charge of that side of the organization. Phil Castellini may do things differently.

Last year single game tickets did not go on sale until early March.

It's probably not close yet. They're still pushing the packages pretty hard. I got a call yesterday from the ticket office asking my why I haven't renewed my season tickets yet, and I haven't had season tickets in two years. I've had 2 calls and 3 emails already this spring. I got nothing last year. They're being really aggressive on the package sales, at least in my experience.

The problem with going by that time this year is that OD is March 31st.

    Re: Ticket sales

The season ticket packages are good deals. You can be a bleacher bum for 150 bucks for 20 ballgames, and you are guaranteed an opening day ticket if you want it. That's not bad at all. Yes, they are being agressive and that is kind of annoying. Personally, I go to see the Reds and it is a little insulting to pay extra because the Red Sox are in town. But, I have no problem with the new ticket plans. If you want to make the scene on Opening Day, you ought to be a big enough fan to want to invest in some of the other 80 ballgames too. After all, it is the Reds.

    Re: Ticket sales

I wasn't pointing out the aggressive push as an annoyance or even a feeling of obligation to go to games other than OD (I'll go several times anyway). My point is that they're still trying to hawk as many packages as they can, which means the on sale date for OD and single game tix will be pushed back even further than it has been in the past. Seems to get later every year. I've got no beef with them pushing hard on packages sales, it makes business sense.

I picked up a 20 game package, and I was told season ticket holder info regarding Opening Day would be sent out in February. Whether that's early or late February, I have no idea, but it's probably going to be at least two weeks before season ticket holders get anything.
