Probably the most dangerous thing about LSD - from what I understand... never did it (seriously) - is that you don't know what other stuff is in it. It's not like the FDA checks it out It's never been exactly "good" for you, but my burnout friends from the 60's tell me that it's not the pure stuff they used to get in the bad old days.

One reason could be that at times beer leads to sex whereas without that beer there would be no sex. Of course too much beer could mean no sex at all.
