I loved the Cordero signing. Liked Dusty.

Hamilton for Volquez threw cold water on the season for me, because it was a realization that the Reds weren't going to get any significant pitching help.

I like the Affeldt signing. He'll struggle as a starter.. my prediction is that he's going to be a starter for at least the first 2 months. However, we had to sign someone to avoid being forced to start 2 rookies. I guess I rate his excitement factor as slightly above what I thought of Sarloos' arrival
I absolutely agree with everything, but two words. I bolded them.
"My mission is to be the ray of hope, the guy who stands out there on that beautiful field and owns up to his mistakes and lets people know it's never completely hopeless, no matter how bad it seems at the time. I have a platform and a message, and now I go to bed at night, sober and happy, praying I can be a good messenger." -Josh Hamilton

MAybe excitement is the wrong word. Maybe interest is the right one. M2 pegged what I am feeling. This team is interesting. It will see potentially 6-10 rookies, but for once that doesn't scare me.
