BRM and Jpup, you guys should sign up for the mock NFL draft.

I think Tennessee is still available for you, Jpup.

I would love a baseball game that allows relocation and expansion...but that's just me.
My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!

I'll be pre-ordering this bad boy. I have yet to play a baseball game on my ps3 so this will be my first taste, hopefully I can wait 'til March.

The old All Star Baseball series let you expand (but not relocate.)

That's one game I wish people would cook up some rosters for.

I'm thinking about buying a PS3 so that I can play this game plus the college baseball games, both of which are only made for playstation.

How good is the gameplay on The Show? I know the graphics look awesome, but is te gameplay better than MLB2k series?

MLB 2007 was a straight port from the PS2, but this edition is supposed to be improved with lots of new features. I have it on pre-order from GameStop.

Is it going to be as "arcadey" as last season's version?

IMO the gameplay is much better. although 2K has claimed they have made "revolutionary" changes, early reports is that it's the inferior game.

Will all the features and modes, gameplay, graphics, and the best commentary I have ever heard of any sports game (this year I hear they recorded 10 Gigs of audio!) The Show is the game to get this year.

Of course I only have a PS2, so I'll probably just get a roster update.
    Witty signature.

I'm fairly certain EA has pulled the plug on the MVP NCAA series. 07 was the final edition (for the PS2.) Depending on what SKU of the PS3 you buy, it might not be able to play PS2 games; the 40 GB one isn't backward compatible.

As far as the 2k series vs. The Show...I'd go with The Show. Everything in that games just seems to work better , and really it's the closest a game has come to MVP, in my opinion. 2k got major bonus points from me a couple years ago when they included actual prospect names in the minor leagues, but they did away with that last year for some reason.

Below is a link to the lastest tidbit from the MLB 08 devs regarding individual pitcher/batter analysis. If you go to the home site and search for MLB 08 you can view a few other articles. They are providing weekly updates on the game up to the March release.

on another site I am a member of, we talk directly with the developers of the game, everyday. They are a great bunch of guys who have a true passion for baseball.

It wasn't a straight port last season. There were many improvements in the PS3 version.

Madden is terrible. NCAA is a little better. I used to love Madden, but it's been the same game for about 5 years now. It's been downhill since '02.
