Don't expect the reality to go away that much, NBC is even considering dumping pilots from now on because they cost so much money, the networks LOVE nice cheap reality programming, even if ratings take a hit.

I'm tired of Saturday Night Live reruns (how many times can they show the Peyton Manning episode?) and stopped watching Leno and Conan after about two weeks of the shows with no writers. I hope they get back to work soon.

I just got cable a week ago and there isn't anything on but Lost. This is happy news for me.

This article is notably lean on specifics. Even if the strike is settled tomorrow, there may not be enough time to produce new episodes of every scripted series this season. It takes a lot of lead time to produce a show and this season will be over in less than 4 months.

Yeah. I'd say most shows will pretty much hang it up for the year. This is good news for the Grammys and the Oscars if it happens. It's also good for talk shows who haven't settled and animated shows who don't have the issues that regular shows have.

Former Disney CEO Michael Eisner said on TV tonight that the strike is effectively over. Apparently an offer is on the table that the writers are almost certain to accept.

    Re: Writer's strike over?

That's excellent news. I'm getting tired of reality television.
If you can't build a winning team with that core a fire-sale isn't the solution. Selling the franchise, moving them to Nashville and converting GABP into a used car lot is.

How do you hope someone burns to death in a non-literal way?
