Brady was informed last night by the LSU AD that he was fired. But he will coach against UT Saturday and then Butch Pierre will take over.

I've been hearing Tim Floyd as the big name replacement, as well as Anthony Grant. If either of those two are hired, id say LSU will keep their recruits intact, and Floyd would probably keep the talent in that area in-state unlike Brady.(hint-hint Greg Monroe)

Dave Odom has already announced he is retiring after this season, and Mark Gottfried and Dennis Felton are on the hot seat as well. Could be interesting to see what happens in the SEC after the NCAA tournament.

I don't understand all the Travis Ford love. I'd like to see him get to at least one NCAA Tournament at UMass (maybe this year) before I'd want him coaching my team if I'm a fan of an SEC team (which I am not).

I don't think Ford will be a top candidate for LSU. He may be in the running, but I think if Tim Floyd shows interest, the job will be his.

1.He is from the area.

2.He coached in the NBA

3.The cost of living in Louisiana is lower than California. Three million would go a long ways in the Bayou.

One thing is for sure though, if Anthony Grant and Travis Ford do coach in the SEC next year, you will have four coaches in the SEC with ties to Rick Pitino in some way, shape, fashion, or form.

I made the comment back when they hired Gillispie that if he got the program turned around and the NBA came after him, that I could see Travis Ford or John Pelphrey being the next Kentucky coach. They just need to get coaching experience at a greater level, and I think they will get it.
