    Chuck

Slow day here. Anyone else been enjoying the new show "Chuck"? It is really the only show I have missed during the writers' strike. Quite well written and I love the "Buy More" crew and humor.

I like it quite a bit. I guess I missed the last two episodes, though. Didn't realize it had come back on. I'll have to catch them online.

I like it, though I wish they would get rid of the Morgan character, he grates my nerves with his village idiot routine

Best new show of the season. I read somewhere that even if the strike ends this weekend there will be no more Chuck until next season. That is if it gets renewed for next year.

It had gotten a full season order before the strike so odds are good it would get renewal for next year

I hope it does. Saw tonight they are showing reruns of Chuck on the Sci-Fi channel.

I love Chuck! I think the show is quirky and a lot of fun. I hope it does get renewed and returns next season...if we even have a season next year with the stupid strike still going strong.

I thought I'd revive this thread in light of tonight's season finale.

I love the show. One of three shows that I never miss an episode. But is anyone else worried that with his relationship with Sarah and his new kung-fu powers that the show may be jumping the shark?

Otherwise I did love the finale, though. I like the introduction of his dad.

    Re: Chuck

I was in chat a few minutes ago talking about this show. I watched it in it's first season and it grew on me. This year, the introduction of Scott Backula as Chuck's Dad and Chevy Chase as the lead Fulcrom Agent just added to the quality of the cast. This is probably the first time that I've seen Chevy Chase in something other than a comedy and, to me, he's a very spooky 'bad guy' because of his cool, calm and devant manner. (Is Chevy getting that old or is it just good makeup?)

Hopefully, they bring this show back next year (I've heard it was on the bubble). If they do I can see Chuck and Sara's relationship moving forward but in very herky-jerky ways. The relationship that Morgan has with the girl that works at Buymore is sort of a parallel universe, but reversed. I like the paradox.

If this comes back next season, I see a bigger role for Dad, a bumpy ride for Sara and Chuck and Buymore declaring bankruptcy.

    Re: Chuck

I love Chuck. The dialogue is quirky fun, as are the lead characters. Too, I love Dr. Awesome.

Can't say I liked the ending of Season Two, though. The reluctant spy thing is over, sure, but superpowers shouldn't be the answer.

Reminds me a bit of The Greatest American Hero, if so.

    Re: Chuck

Yeah, I didn't get the 'Kung Fu Master' thing. Pretty out of context.

Other than that I think the last episode sets up some interesting possibilities if there is a third season. Somehow, I think the Chevy Chase character survived. Dad becomes hunted by both sides. Chuck and Sara have to decide to make a committment (which I think they will) or walk away and, if Chuck really has decided to become a full-time spy then it opens up his relationship with Casey who would 'buddy-up' with him rather than treat him like an annoying toy poddle that needs to be walked.
