Re: Dempster thinks Cubs will end drought, take World Series

I don't see this as an obnoxious Chad Johnson/T.O./Floyd Merriweather kind of prediction but rather simply a guy saying he believes in his teammates. How misguided the statement might be is certainly open for debate but it wouldn't break my heart to see some of the Reds' veteran players come forth with similar confidendent talk about their teammates. Henry Ford once said, "if you believe you can or if you believe you can't you're right"

The Cubs are so cute - you just want to squeeze their chubby little cheeks. World Series. Seriously, that's freakin' adorable.

The last time the Cubs won the World Series the ball didn't have a cork center yet.

    I smell t-shirt potential.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.

That's just what we need - another large market big spender winning the World Series. It'll probably happen again this year, and the next, and the next, and the next, and the next. But I doubt the scrubs will be the team to do it.

The last time the scrubs won the World Series, Alaska and Hawaii were still decades away from becoming states and the Titanic hadn't even been built!

And RFS had just graduated from college.

Good Ole Dumpster, LOL! Wish he would've amounted to something when he was with the Reds.

I didn't realize it took him that long. He must have taken some time off before finishing his degree.

I keep waiting for Dempster to implode (or come back to Earth) and he hasn't. What gives?

You know there was a time before this season when demp looked like a pretty promising pitcher. Perhaps he's just healthy again. Didn't he gave some shoulder issues when we dealt for him?

Sorry Ryan. Unfortunately, you didn't help the cause much.
