Howie Nunn lives in Pilot Mountain, NC. I used to work as a sportswriter in the area and interviewed him for a story once. Spent a couple of hours talking to him about the Reds and baseball in general. He had a little bit of memorabilia, like cards and such, and his 1961 NL champions ring that I got to hold for a little while .
I believe that in the 1988 Donruss Mike Griffin card, he has a red Afro and a moustache. Which means he had to shave it when he came to the Reds.
Speaking of Red afro's, I believe Leo Garcia (I have no idea what his hair was like), was involved in the Jim Kern trade.
A couple of classics on that list, Atchley and Nichting, may have been in the same Reds bullpen at one point. I don't recall off the top of my head, but this is Cincinnati, and plenty of guys have run in and out of that pen over the years. Glauber may've even been there, but I think he was a few years ahead of Atchley and Nichting.
