Reds Regular Season TV Schedule Released/Announced???

It's usually toward the end of February when FSN announces the Reds TV schedule for the upcoming baseball season.

I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything from FSN - how many games aired, dates, etc?

I'm hoping for another 140+ game season this year

I'm anxious to see how many HD games there will be. Directv now has a channel (638-1) dedicated to FSN Cincinnati HD games, unlike last year, when we had to hope that Directv would choose to air the Reds HD game on 95 or 96. I'm hoping they'll least double the number of HD games to 30.

If you've ever watched FSN in Standard Def from Directv on a large HDTV, you know how awful the picture is.

I don't have the regular season, but here's some info on ST games:

    Back on the air waves

The Reds on Radio returns for another season on Wednesday, Feb. 27, with the broadcast of the first spring training game against the Phillies at 1:05 p.m.

Games will be on radio the next two weekends. Daily broadcasts begin on March 15. Reds games can be heard on WLW-AM 700 (Cincinnati), WONE-AM 980 (Dayton) and WIZE-AM 1340 (Springfield).

FSN Ohio will televise spring games on March 10 vs. the Yankees at 7:15 p.m.; March 17 vs. the Tigers at 1:05 p.m. and March 24 vs. the Bluejays at 7:05 p.m.

Re: Reds Regular Season TV Schedule Released/Announced???

Dish network used to have a separte channel #377 for Reds in HD now it says it has moved to the regular FSN cinn channel #427 so I'm hopeful maybe all games will be in HD. I was fired up to see that because it makes a huge difference on my 50 inch tv.
And This One Belongs to the REDS!!!

I wish I could get Reds in HD...that would be amazing. I guess I'll have to wait for that one or two FOX broadcasts, as I only get broadcast channels in HD...

The only thing that sucks about getting EI on cable is the inability to get Reds in HD. A usually nationally televised game in HD on opening day makes it that much sweeter

That is great news. Plus they are scheduled to be on Fox 3 times in HD. So that will make a total of 148 Reds game televised with 74 in HD.

I can only go by memory, but for some reason, it seems like it was around the same ballpark - which, really, is great.

EDIT: They did 145 last year, but have upped the HD by twofold. Link here
