    About time.

I actually liked Salsbury. I really think he was an analysist that who said what he believed all the time. I think too many espn talking heads toe the company (NY, Boston, Chicago, LA, Dallas) line too much.

Does it matter if you say what you think if you never think any original or insightful thoughts?
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

I couldn't disagree more. I'll take Hoge, Tom Jackson, Jaws, Mark Schlereth, and Mike Golic on NFL Primetime before him. IMO, just about the only guy he's better than is Emmit Smith, and anybody who's listened to him talk ("Blowed away", Emmit? Really?) knows that ain't tough.

I always thought that he was kind of a pompous jerk.

Jaws has forgotten more about breaking down film that all of the other ESPN heads will ever know.

Jessie Palmer is a smudge on his windshield.

Salisbury leaving increased the aggregate IQ at ESPN.

I actually like Carter and hope he stays himself and isn't molded by the 4 letter.
Nothing to see here. Please disperse.
