Possible trade offer ive been offered in my yahoo keeper league Harang for carlos zambrano. what do you think redszoners
Harang is better now and in the future. Zambrano was very inconsistent last year. He saw his K rate decrease substantially, and was just as wild. Harang is the safer pick in K's. WHIP is Harang's category because of his excellent BB rate, while Zambrano might give up 100 BB again. Wins and ERA are roughly even.
There is also concern about Zambrano's arm stress. He has pitched 200+ IP in 5 consecutive seasons, and it's very possible he could show signs of it. It's also possible he's perfectly fine handling the stress, but I'd trust Harang more for durability.
I agree with mlbfan. Keep Harang or have the owner through in something extra. In every draft that I have come acrossed, Harang in drafted higher than Zambrano.
I find it funny that in the NL Only Dynasty League discussed in another thread here on Fantasy Island, Big Z went #25 overall (third round), while I got Harang #43 (in the fifth round). Apparently, even RedsZoner's underestimate the Harangatang...
