I've been looking for any info about Dish/MLB season ticket for this year. Anyone hear anything?

They no longer have Extra Innings. They couldn't reach a deal with MLB.

If you can't build a winning team with that core a fire-sale isn't the solution. Selling the franchise, moving them to Nashville and converting GABP into a used car lot is.

That link is from last year, before they came back and did have the package for 07. I haven't heard what's what for 08 yet.

You sure Dish Network had EI last year? I don't think they did.

I am switching to DirectTV after I feel I have got in enough procrastination. I want it this year.
I've been to dinner at Jimmy Buffet's house, and I've eaten it at a homeless shelter. And there's great joy and harrowing terror to be found in both places.

DISH did not have the EI package last season. Most likely will never have it. They won't pony up the money to buy into the rights with DirecTV. They said they didn't have enough subscibers to justify the cost the cost.

My understanding is: if Dish didn't cut a deal with MLB and Directv last year, they won't be able to get in on the package for a few years now.

yah, it blows. they had it for 1 year i think. For a while it looked like Dish was going to buy DirecTV. Too bad that fell through.

I think they actually had it three seasons,04-06. Yea, I was hoping they would merge but the Feds nixed that one.

As a DirecTV user I was glad that merger got shot down, I am not a fan of the way DISH is run.

That said, I'm also not a fan of exclusive sports deals, but I guess that's the way it goes.
