    3/05/08--Reds vs. Red Sox

    Per Trent:

    Freel cf
    Hatteberg 1b---now clarified as dh
    Phillips 2b
    Encarnacion 3b
    Votto 1b
    Castro ss
    Drew T. Anderson lf
    Cabrera rf
    Bako c
    Bailey p
ETA: Presumably one of those 1b will be the DH...

Not exactly a murderers row offense making the trip down I-75. Mr. Bailey and his alleged attitude on the mound.

Red Sox line-up far more loaded. Good luck, Homer:

    Dustin Pedrola 2B
    Kevin Youkilis 1B
    Jason Varitek DH
    Manny Ramirez LF
    Mike Lowell 3B
    J.D. Drew RF
    Julio Lugo SS
    Jonathan Van Avery CF
    Kevin Cash C

    Jon Lester P

Also, the game is on WEEI, so anyone with mlb.com audio is good to go.

You gotta love that bottom half of the order. Then again, Drew T and Cabrera have been raking so far this spring.

I know this is an overreaction on my part, but why give Juan Castro at bats over Janish or Keppinger? The thought of Castro starting opening day makes me want to vomit.

I believe this game is going to be shown on NESN for anyone who gets it.

The Red Sox website didn't list any TV for this one and I didn't see it in my DISH guide last night.

Looking through the press notes for the Reds on mlb.com, looks like Cueto is getting the start Friday night against the Pirates, for what it's worth.

No, NESN, in their infinite wisdom, is giving us another chance to watch last night's Bruins loss.

    Re: 3/05/08--Reds vs. Red Sox

Have to go to lunch soon, and I still don't see update line-ups for the Red Sox, so I apologize in advance if I do not get them edited and added to my initial post in the thread.

It does appear that Jon Lester is pitching for Boston to start the day.

    Maybe one can play shortstop.

No need. The incomparable Manos de Oro is there today.

Hence the hilarity of the suggestion......
