    There's No Crying in ..........

I must confess, I felt a little uncomfortable watching Brett Favre cry on TV yesterday. I was downright annoyed watching Terrel Owens cry after their last loss. Dick Vermeil just made me laugh he cried so much. What the hell is going on with our culture today?

I can understand watching a pro player cry during his or her retirement speach. It hits them all of a sudden that they won't be able to play the game that they love and that has to be very hard on any player.

Now TO was just wanting tv time by getting on there and saying thats my QB man lol he looked like a idiot.

You mean the culture is going to hell in a handbag because a man, a strong man cried? Personally, I'd call it a big improvement.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a man crying when overcome by emotion. Should he become a whimpering simp every time something moves him... of course not. But an occasional outcome of tearful emotion is not unmanly.

As a guy who is very emotional and cries whenever he feels like it, I have no problem with Favre crying.

Mr. Rogers once said that it's okay for men to cry, and that was enough for me.

I think with the 24/7 media outlets we have today we see athletes, politicians and regular people crying more so than when we just had a handful of networks and the newspapers.

If Lou Gehrig gave his tearful "luckiest man" speech in todays era we would have been watching it non stop for days on every channel from ESPN to the "Golf Channel".

I love it when they say "I promised myself I wouldn't cry"
