That Bruce, EE, and Votto 3,4,5 could be promising in a couple years.

I thought 3-4 "regulars" had to make each spring training trip. Am I mistaken?
Even so, perhaps that bodes well for Votto, Bruce, and Castro.

Hey, Castro made the trip. What more do you want?
I'd really like to see Maloney have a solid outing today, if for no other reason than to give him some confidence when he starts the season in Louisville. I gotta believe he'll be a casualty of the next stage of cuts.
Update on this game from Fay:
Matt Maloney got through the first in Lakeland without giving up a hit or a run.
Bako found the water today. He and Hopper each have a hit in this one, according to the box on MLB.com.
Per Trent, Maloney gave up a pair of dingers and three runs to the Tigers in the second.
Carlos Guillen and NRI Scott Sizemore hit the homers.
Castro committed an error. Someone get Raisor a hanky.
it's refreshing to learn that Maloney is not Mr. March, he's Mr. October
Burton in to pitch the 3rd.
