The Orange really laid an egg today. Getting blown out in the opening round of your conference tourney? At least they can look forward to a home game or two in the NIT.

Syracuse's talent base has seemed to go downhill the last few seasons. It seems like when some of these coaches win an NCAA title and they may get a little lax in recruiting. Look at Maryland. They have gradually declined since they won their title and pretty much parallel Syracuse.

If Greene comes back (doubtful), Syracuse should be verrrry good next year. We'll see if Boeheim can coach or not.

I was just on their site. There are only 6 former Orangemen in the NBA. Only 2 whose Syracuse careers I remember well -- Carmelo and Etan Thomas.

BTW, bit of trivia... what college hoops team played the toughest non-conference schdule in the country this year (according to Ken Pomroy)?
