Tatum just went yard to make it 5-1.
Trent is on his blog talking about how Hopper was with the program by getting thrown out trying to turn a single into a double and Patterson was helping him out by ending his second inning of the night.
And Bruce was by striking out on 3 pitchers.
And Bray was by having a fast inning.
Sounds like a good couple of innings for Cueto.
Apparently Tatum's tater was a shot. Good to hear. We know he's a solid defender.
Cueto threw a 1-2-3 7th inning with two strikeouts and a flyout.
Cueto so far: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K...including getting Ryan Howard to GIDP.

He and Volquez should both be getting starts in their next appearances, especially Cueto.

I feel pretty good, all the work we did on my shoulder this off-season and this spring really helped, even when it was hurting, it felt good, that's kind of an oxymoron there, but I always felt strong.
I was just trying to go out there and throw strikes for my first time out there. No pain and throwing strikes were my two goals. I had no pain (and threw 10 of 13 strikes)
Did you feel good just being out there after a run of bad luck?
I don't think anyone can call it bad luck. You're in the big leagues, I can't have but so much bad luck, perhaps a few unfortunate events.
