I watched it with my brother who had read the book. He said that they obviously had to jump around a lot in order to fit stuff in.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. The portrayal of Ben Franklin was a hoot.

Hey shouldn't this political thread be taken over to the Peanut Gallery? What if a strong supporter of the Hamilton wing of the Federalists stumbled upon this and all heck breaks loose in a discussion over the alien and sedition acts. :

I should have guessed that you supported that stealth-tory Hamilton, the guy who sent his wife to stay with her family so he could take in a "guest" (Maria Reynolds).

Jefferson would never do anything so sleazy.

    I agree.

I think the guy who played Dickenson from PA was great too.

I'm under the assumption that there are more parts. Am I correct?

I think Dickenson was played by the guy who was in "Damages" on FX last year, Zeljko Ivanek.

I could be wrong, but it sure looked like him.

I'm sure of it. I understand that since his wife dies, Jefferson's been particularly upstanding and virtuous. They say he's even taken a kindly, parental (I'm sure) interest in one of his young slaves (Sally Hemmings, I think her name is), who gossips say is actually his late wife's half-sister! I'm sure he's concerned that she won't have a female presence to help guide her as she matures and is doing his best to keep her on the right path.

I've seen the first two. Part 3 "Don't Tread On Me" premiers Sunday night at 9 PM.

I'm very much enjoying this series.

Which one? Belzer has played Munch on something like 11 different shows, including Arrested Development.
